All gift cards/vouchers stored within the Phorest system are assigned to a client once sold. 

Once redeemed, the gift card/voucher is then linked to the transaction it has been used against, with some vouchers being linked to multiple transactions. 

As soon as the balance of a gift card/voucher hits 0 the voucher is marked as Used by the system. This ensures that the voucher is deactivated, preventing any future use unless the voucher is topped up by the client. 

Due to the gift card / voucher being linked to your transactions, we do not advise on tampering with these records as to do so can create issues if your business is ever audited. Tracking transactions linked to a gift card/voucher that has been shared across multiple clients can become very messy and is not best practice for your business and financial records.
