    Understanding Access Levels

    This article explains every Access point in Phorest, so that you understand how to control permissions for your staff within the system.

    When adjusting Access Levels (permissions for carrying out certain tasks within the system) it is important to keep in mind the various roles you have in the salon (or outside if you have someone who does Marketing or Bookkeeping), and what permissions should be granted for your employees to carry out their daily responsibilities. 

    You may create additional Access Levels or archive existing levels, but be sure that each Staff Members is assigned an appropriate access level after you have created and assigned permissions. 

    You can adjust the Access levels by going to Manager and then Access.

    At the top of the Access Levels page, you should see a white dropdown box, this will indicate the Access Level of which you are about to make adjustments to. Be sure to click SAVE between each change of this dropdown.

    You should see 6 different categories to adjust access levels for: Appointments, Clients, Marketing, Purchase, Manager, PhorestGO (mobile)

    These are the main tabs of your Phorest desktop + PhorestGO -- everything within these categories is a function within the system which you have control to grant permission to access or not.


    Appointments - everything under this category is relevant to a function within your Appointments Screen










    Appointments: Creating & Editing Appointments - everything under this category is relevant to a function within your Appointments Screen when you are in the Appointment Creation window










    Clients - everything under this category is relevant to a function within your Client Database










    Clients: Editing a Client Card - everything under this category is relevant to a function in regards to editing a client card










    Client: Treatcard & Service History - everything under this category is relevant to TreatCard & Service History information within the client card










    Marketing - everything under this category is relevant to a function within your Marketing Suite










    Marketing: Client ReConnect & Snapchat - everything under this category is relevant to your Re-Connect & Snapchat features within Marketing









    Marketing: Templates & Filters - everything under this category is relevant to viewing/editing Templates & Filters within your Marketing Suite (to include Confirmations & NoShow messages)










    Purchase - everything under this category is relevant to sales and functions within the Purchase tab

    Purchase: Discounts - whenever you create a new discount you MUST assign access (for security purposes, Phorest will not automatically allow your staff to apply a new discount added)











    Manager - everything under this category is relevant to any function within the Manager tab























































    PhorestGO - everything under this category is relevant to functions within the PhorestGO Mobile app
